Galaxies galore!
Today we made galaxy jars to help us remember our learning about space. At the end of the day these are the facts that the students remembered:
- A galaxy is a group of millions of stars.
- Our solar system is part of a galaxy.
- Our galaxy is called 'The Milky Way.'
- Our galaxy looks like a spiral.
- There are a billion other galaxies.
- The universe is bigger than gigantic!!
We made the galaxy jars with water coloured with paint, silver glitter, sequins and stars, and cotton balls. We loved them so much Mrs Dane said we could take them home to help us explain to our families what we have learned about galaxies . . . especially our galaxy, The Milky Way.
That look's really fun. Those look really awesome great job. Keep up the good work nice job.
